Board of Directors

With a mission of preserving and enhancing the prosperity of our schools and community and recognizing the value of independent funding, a group of local business leaders established the Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation in 2007. Today the board includes parents, teachers, business and community leaders, committed to upholding that mission.

DJ WolbertDJ Wolbert - President
D.J. has been on the NWLEF Board since 2010 and currently chairs the Fund Development / PR Committee.

D.J. has been a resident of New Tripoli since 2001 with his wife, Wendy, and daughter, Reece.  He has also been involved in other community activities including P.I.E. (Partners in Education) and  has been a NYAA soccer coach.  D.J. has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and an MBA in Management/Finance from DeSales University.  He has been a product manager at Victaulic since early 2013.  Prior to Victaulic, D.J. worked at Lutron Electronics for 19 years in several management positions.  D.J. enjoys many activities, including hunting, camping, running, biking, kayaking, and fixing whatever is needed on his small horse farm.
NWLEF Head Shot (1)Daniel Macaulay - Vice-President
Daniel Macaulay has lived in Northwestern Lehigh School District since his family moved from Easton, PA when he was 18 months old. He graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School and went on to study at Kutztown University while majoring in Criminal Justice. During this time he connected with his to-be-wife, another Northwestern Alumni, and began helping with her family’s business. He now resides with his wife Tiffany, son Colin, and daughter Reese in New Smithville, PA.

Daniel works with the Cougle family at their business Cougle’s Recycling, Inc. and is a large part of their Business Development department. He attends Hope Community Church with his family and is a member of their Community Outreach program helping to build the church and furthering its reach. In the spring and fall months he enjoys coaching his children’s soccer teams and watching them grow through the NYAA Sports program. During the time off he enjoys playing soccer, golfing, skiing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Valerie BetzValerie Creitz - Secretary
Valerie serves on the NWLEF Fund Developmet committee and is a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh, Valerie was raised in New Tripoli and vowed to return to the district to raise her family.

Valerie has a B.S. in Business Administration from Cedar Crest College and an MBA from DeSales University. By day she is an Account Manager at 3Seed Marketing in Schnecksville. When not offering her skills in marketing, Valerie can be found behind a lense, photographing area families, children and couples as the Owner/Photographer of Valerie Betz Photography & Design. She enjoys live music, traveling and spending time with her wife and their son Grayson - Class of 2026.
Steve PrangeSteve Prange - Treasurer
Steve was a founding board member of the NWLEF, and has been serving as Treasurer since 2007. Steve has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Bethel University, and an MBA from Thunderbird University. He started his career working for 3M Corporation in Minneapolis, and then moved to NYC where he worked for 15 years in the Information Technology field for several international banks and consulting firms. Steve served as treasurer of the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley for over 9 years. He is now full time at his farm in New Tripoli, pretending to be a farmer, and pursing his other hobbies such as running, skiing, and gardening.
Eric Andreus
Eric Andreus resides in Fogelsville with his wife and their children who attend the Northwestern Lehigh Schools. Eric has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Geology and is employed by Nestlé Waters North America Inc. as the Natural Resource Manager for the Deer Park Natural Spring Water brand. In his spare time Eric has coached several NYAA teams and enjoys competitive cycling. Eric joined the NWLEF as a board member in 2013.
Jayson BoushellJayson Boushell
Jayson was raised in Pennsburg, PA (Upper Perkiomen School District) through his sophomore year. In the summer of 1993, his family moved to Fogelsville, PA where Jayson attended Parkland High School, graduating class of 1995. In 1996 Jayson and his soon to be wife Jessica Yeakel (Northwestern Lehigh Class of 1995) bought a house in Orefield, PA within Northwestern Lehigh School District, and were married at Leaser Lake in September of 1997. Jayson and Jessica have four children: Michael - Class of 2018, Matthew - Class of 2020, Molly - Class of 2022, and Mark - Class of 2024.

Jayson and Jessica coached Indoor Baton Twirling at both Northwestern Lehigh Middle and High Schools from 1995 through 2002. Jayson also coached Club Ice Hockey for Penn State’s Lehigh Valley Extension Campus in 2001 and 2002, has coached soccer with the Northwestern Youth Athletic Association’s Soccer Club since 2004, and has served as the President of the Northwestern Lehigh Youth Wrestling and Wrestling Cheerleaders Booster Club since 2013.
Steve Feinour
Judy HenryJudy Henry
Judy has been involved with the Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation since 2006 and has served on the board of directors since 2008. She is a member of the foundation’s Fund Development Committee.

She is proud to be a resident of the Northwestern Lehigh School District since moving here from Tamaqua in 1997. Judy graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She works in the office at Northwestern Elementary and resides in New Tripoli with her husband, Mark, and her two children, Sarah and Nicholas.
Sue Kinney
Susan is currently a supervisor of student teachers for Muhlenberg College. Prior to this position, she served as the PA Statewide Coordinator for Reading Apprenticeship, working closely with WestEd’s Strategic Literacy Initiative. As the state coordinator she was responsible for the recruitment and logistics of grants targeting middle and high school ELA, science and history teachers to improve academic literacy and content area learning through the Reading Apprenticeship Framework. As a former teacher, Susan taught middle and high school English and was also a district administrator, leading professional development for all staff and institutionalizing RtII in grades K-12. Susan is a Writing Project Fellow and has published articles on the utilization of technology to differentiate instruction. Living on a small horse farm in New Tripoli, Susan enjoys spending time with her family and caring for five horses, one dog and three cats.
Michael KisterMike Kistler 
Michael Kistler has been involved with the NWLEF since 2004 and is a 1998 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh. He continued his education at Elizabethtown College and graduated with a B.S. in Business in 2002. In 2009 he received his teaching certificate from Delaware Valley College. Michael is currently in his 5th year of teaching as a business education teacher at Brandywine Heights High School. In his spare time he can be seen coaching the Freshman Girls Basketball Team with his wife, Shannon who is also a teacher at Northwestern Middle School. They have been married for 10 years and have two little girls, Emily (3) and Grace (1).
Tim LebrechtTim Lebrecht
Tim has served on the Northwestern Lehigh Education Foundation Board since 2010.

Tim is currently employed as an Applications Engineer to the Refining industry at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. where he has worked since 1991. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Lehigh University. His 2 children have either been through or are currently attending Northwestern Lehigh Schools. He serves on the Allocations Sub-committee that has been instrumental in working with the school and teachers to allocate the foundation’s funds in the best way possible. In his spare time Tim has coached both soccer and softball for NYAA teams, is actively involved in his church, and enjoys running, kayaking, and gardening.
Meredith Prange Meredith Prange
Meredith joined the NWLEF Board in 2015, and has been a resident of New Tripoli for over 18 years. Meredith graduated from Smith College in 1990 with a BA in Computer Science, after which she spent 23 years working in NYC in the field of Information Technology in the Financial Sector. She served as a Board Member of the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley for over 5 years as Development Committee head. Meredith is now full-time at her farm in New Tripoli - Thunderhead Farm - pursing her passion of Dressage, and taking care of the many horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats, that call Thunderhead home.
Tina TalagoTina Talago
Tina has been a Realtor for the last 7 years, an agent with Keller Williams Real Estate in Allentown. Previously, she was a hair stylist and owner of a salon for 17 years in Bethlehem.

Tina’s family has resided in New Tripoli for more than 20 years. Together with her husband she has 2 sons, one of which attended NWL elementary school and both of their sons had been active members of NYAA, playing soccer & football from 5yrs.old until they attended high school. As a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church Tina has enjoyed volunteering for many church and school functions. In her spare time Tina and her husband love to travel. She is an avid skier, plays tennis and now, with the birth of her first grandchild, she is enjoying the next phase of her life being a grandmother!
